Back to Work
The regular routine of going to work will sort out my body clock so I was looking forward to going back to work today. Also, I was dying to get back to the gym - I feel like in the two weeks I was away my strength and health has been seeping away. After way too much fried food and tiredness, followed by the long flight home, my parents said I was shockingly pale.
Typically, I feel a little under the weather today and so had to postpone my gym visit. It's one of those tiredness things. Although you unwind on holiday it's easy to tire yourself out rushing around. Meeting with as many people as possible while buying everything on my shopping list was knackering!
At work my Hokkaido melon wafers went down a treat. That's right, I didn't actually go to Hokkaido! However, I visited a shop with various omiyage and I felt that getting a typical Japanese snack filled with bean paste snack might be a little cruel, though I nearly bought some just to see the looks of disgust on people's faces.
In the office I felt calmer than before Christmas and the noisy people behind me didn't agitate me as much. I don't know why, but there a few individuals who make more noise than children, be it clapping between key strokes, whistling or putting on silly voices. I can only dreams of my noise cancellation headphones, though there's no point really, as I couldn't wear them at my desk anyway.
I am definately glad to be back in London, in my own room with my own bed, but there is something sad about returning from Japan. I'd like to visit once more in 2007, but my finances will have to decide if that's possible.

Japan is addictive (well, most parts except Yawatajuku ;)), once I figured out that most attractions are near JR/subway stations, you couldn't keep me in my room on weekends!
Oh yeah, finally, I should be able to make time to go back this year, hopefully (crossing my fingers really hard). I so missed the authentic oyako dons.

Yeah, there is definately plenty to do and even more to buy!
I had quite a few katsu-don/ten-don but no oyako-don this time around.
I hope you manage to make it to Japan.
