JLPT Results
A large envelope arrived this morning from SOAS - the 2005 Japanese Language Proficiency Test results. What an agonising three month wait. Before I opened the envelope, I had to remind myself of my initial target when deciding to take the test and not to be disappointed with the seeing the inevitable 'Not Passed' printed inside.
Unfortunately, this text was there, but the score I got, 57%, is very satisfying. To me, this is an incredible achievement given the difficulty of the test and the amount of prepartion time I had. This year I may even make it to 70%, but that depends on the time I put in. Time shall tell.

Good Effort Darren! Let's pass it this year.

Good luck to Darren and Roy. It seems like both of you have no problems for listening and grammar. Only have to work harder for Vocab.

Increasing kanji reading ability and vocab will also help speed up the reading comprehension. Thanks for the encouragement.

57%! Well considering a mere 32% of people got over 60% this year, that is not bad! I'll be joining you in writing the 2級 again this year, as although I passed, I was only 2% on the happy side of par! Great Japanese learning blog btw! 頑張ってくださいね

Hi dtan and thanks for commenting. Well done on passing level 2 - it's a great achievement. You might consider taking level 1 to push yourself, but I understand your reasoning for wanting to retake the same level.
