Merry Christmas Darren!!

Hope you have a lovely Christmas holiday.
Right, I'd better go prepare Christmas Lunch!

Bye!

I bet that's true of the average American, too. Happy Christmas!

Really?! So where did "Father Christmas" come from?

hi! :) i got here through http://livejournal.com/~pineapplemonade :) i love your simple and clean layout!

a belated merry christmas to you too! :D

It was very odd here in HK, they did a count down at mid-night. Why??

Father Christmas is the Anglican/Protestant name for Santa Claus. Santa Claus is a corruption of St. Nicholas. During the Protestant Reformation, when saints fell out of favor, St. Nicholas was rechristened Father Christmas. In England he still has the related associations of the green man, and the solstice celebrations of the Celts.

Yo!!! Happy New Year!! How come you haven't posted in ages??? You should make one of your new years resolutions to post at least twice a week, come rain or shine or snow.
I wonder what the new year will bring...

I'm sure an even smaller percentage have heard of Jesus Christ. I think the person they most associate with Christmas is Colonel Sanders (of KFC).
