Rush hour in London started early today as many people, including myself, left work early in the hope of getting home before the Tube strike got fully underway. Even though it was supposed to start with maintenance staff from 5 and drivers and other staff later in the evening it was better not to take the risk.
The real fun will be getting to work in the morning. What a pain… I considered cycling my age-old bike only to discover that it’s gone missing! Oh well…

The funny thing is I was out meeting a friend and decided I might as well avoid the rush hour strike chaos and head out a bit late at around 8pm. Got home without a hitch. Kinda makes you wonder what all the fuss was about!
Really? I haven’t had a chance to blog about it but it took me two hours to get to work by bus and I had an absolute nightmare trying to get home despite staying out after work and trying leave the West End at around 10. In the end the bus I was waiting for (for a long time) was so packed it didn’t even stop. I decided to get a District Line part way home and then wing it from there but luckily a Richmond service had just been resumed.
