ATP World Tour Finals – Finals

As you can see from the panorama I’ve roughly stitched together, the O2 makes for a massive arena for the ATP World Tour Finals. You can also see that my seat was very high up; it was a great view, though.

It was a shame that at the start of the doubles final there were so many empty seats. Gradually it did fill up, though. Both pairs played a fantastic match – doubles at this level just blows my mind! Mike and Bob Bryan managed to take the important points and took the ATP World Tour Finals title for the third time and also became the year-end number one pair. Commiserations to Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram.

For the singles, at first I was disappointed that Federer went out in the semis but after seeing Nikolay Davydenko win at the O2 on Friday and again today, I’m just in awe. What a performance against Juan Martin del Potro! Flawless tennis.
